Mizner Country Club proudly announces that its general manager and COO, Mark Bado, MCM, CCE, has been honored with the prestigious Fellow designation by the Club Management Association of America (CMAA). This distinction, awarded at CMAA’s recent February meeting, recognizes exemplary club management professionals who demonstrate outstanding leadership, integrity, and contributions to the industry.
Selection as a CMAA Fellow is a prestigious honor bestowed upon fewer than 0.5% of CMAA members. This elite designation is reserved for those who have significantly contributed to the club management profession through leadership, service, and mentorship within CMAA and the broader club community.
In accepting this recognition, Bado expressed his gratitude, stating, “CMAA Fellows represent a diverse and accomplished community of club managers and industry professionals who actively shape the future of club management. I am truly honored to join this esteemed group, contributing as a mentor, thought leader, and advocate for our profession.”
With over 30 years of experience in the private club industry, Bado’s career began at Deloitte, where he advised private clubs on financial matters. He later became Controller at Oakmont Country Club, followed by his role as GM/COO at Wildwood Golf Club. In October 2023, he joined Mizner Country Club as GM/COO, bringing a wealth of experience and leadership.
Bado’s commitment to CMAA spans multiple leadership roles, including serving as president of three different CMAA chapters and chairman of the Mentoring Council. Elected to the National Board in 2014, he has chaired key committees such as professional development, strategic planning, and student development task force. Notably, he led as CMAA Chairman in 2020 during the challenging pandemic year.
In 2012, Bado achieved his Master Club Management (MCM) certification, further demonstrating his dedication to professional excellence.
Ron Gaché, Mizner’s board president, congratulated Mark Bado on this remarkable achievement on behalf of the Mizner board of directors, noting, “We are proud to have such a distinguished leader at the helm. Since joining Mizner, Mark has continually demonstrated his leadership skills, which continue to elevate Mizner as a premier country club.”
