Brett Morris Honored as CMAA Fellow for Excellence in Private Club Leadership

Brett A. Morris, General Manager/Chief Operating Officer of The Club at Admirals Cove, has been named a CMAA Fellow, one of the highest honors in private club management. Awarded by the Club Management Association of America (CMAA), this prestigious designation is reserved for an elite group of professionals who have made a lasting impact on the club industry through exceptional leadership, mentorship, and contributions to advancing private club management.


Morris' career has been defined by service, dedication, and an unwavering commitment to excellence. His leadership at Admirals Cove, coupled with his deep industry expertise, has helped shape the future of private clubs. Being named a CMAA Fellow is a rare achievement, signifying both enduring influence and dedication to the profession.

With over 32 years in club management, Morris has held leadership roles at several prestigious clubs, including The Polo Club of Boca Raton, Fresh Meadow Country Club, and Wykagyl Country Club. A graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, he has steadily advanced in the industry, taking on key leadership positions and serving as a mentor to the next generation of club professionals.


His impact is widely recognized by colleagues and mentees. Ryan Artim, CCM, General Manager/CEO of High Ridge Country Club, credits Morris’ mentorship with shaping his leadership style, stating, “His servant leadership is inspiring, and his passion is contagious.” Pamela Caldwell, Director of Wellness at The Club at Admirals Cove, highlights his dedication to empowering staff, noting, “His leadership fosters an environment where people want to work, learn, and grow.”


Morris has also served as Director of the Seminole Region of the Florida Chapter of CMAA and continues to play a key role in regional charity initiatives. His industry peers, such as Carmen Mauceri, CCM, describe him as an innovative and authentic leader whose forward-thinking approach was especially impactful during the challenges of COVID-19.

In addition to being named a CMAA Fellow, Club Management magazine recognized Morris as the 2022 Club Executive of the Year—a testament to his exceptional professionalism and leadership in the private club space.
